Life in prison is hard as it is, you know, away from your family, kids, and the things you like or love, truth we all did something to be in the situation we are, but when I sing for my time it did not say that, I was to work under extreamed conditions. I spended the mayority of my centense working in the kitches of TDCJ, firs Plane State, then Lockhart and Crain Unit (valley) When I was at County jail I heard stories about Prision and they were all crazy, but nobody ever told me about the Kitchen, after two months at the Plane State unit I was send to work at the kitchen and my first reaction was that of horror the condition of the place, holes in the walls, more that 5 inmates working the same area, no PPE (no gloves, sleeves, boots aprons etc.) The first day I was working at the Pots and Pans area, where you whas (are)

[Page 2] to wash big quantities of dirty stuff with only Gentel (soap) takes forever to remove burn stuff and you dont get to use gloves at the beginning of the day they provide you with a disposable hair-net wich they want you to use for at least 2 weeks (grosse), there is roches all around arround the place, and they dont care how you cook the food, it just needs to be done No condiments. You’re only aloud to 20 minutes to eat all your food and only one 8 oz cup or whatever the drink is, because of the lack of chemicals, the dishes are dirty most of the time. When is summer time you wor under the Heat, no AC, no rest. I remenver geting out with my clothes all sticking to my body. After 2 months I got move to Lockhart, whe all is better, and where I learned about safety and P.P.E they give me the right training [Page 3] wich I never recived at Plane. I was provided with a apron and disposable hair net, ruber boots and a place where I could take a brake if I need it, whater and ice where always accesible to Inmates safety and sanitation are priority at Lockhart, the nex day I showup to work one of the officers noticed that I take my hair net from my pocket, He ask where there I get it from? I told him – from here, yesterday. He laugh out loud and told me, -Girl, you are not at plane no more, you get a new one every day, is unsanitary to use the same one (drawing of a shocked face), After one month I was made a cook and I was properly trained for the job, provided with the right P.P.E. and equipment to work. I justo cook for 1,700 people, wich means if it was oven chicken day, we would bake 1,700 pices of chicken # 50 #s of Rice, 50 #s of beans

[Page 4] enough vegetables an bread for the whole unit, and thank God, condiments (smiley face). I wanted to pointout that working for 1,700 people I never got hurt never. After 7-8 months I was moved to Crain (Valley) where again was placed at the Kitchen as a cook, I was give some papers to sign and told, if I ever still, or got caugh bullshiting arround I was going to get paper in my life, the nex day I was send to the grille to make pancakes my “boss” was arguing about some-thing, so I was waiting for P.P.E. so when I ask for it I wase provided wit a disposable hair-net and told that I have to keep it for at least twoo weeks, then I ask for sleevs and gloves, and my “boss” just turned arround and laugh out loud, then turnd arround and told me, “Girl this is not Hells Kitchen”

[Page 5] for equipment, I was provided with a 4oz spoodle, a pitcher and a spatula, when time come to cook lunch, I was face with the metter that steam ketles did not work rotating oven didn’t work, and I was to used a small tiltskilet to cook the whole meal, at Crain our boss, sits at the office and talks on the phone or sleep or jus seat and talk with other offenders, people walks all arround the cooks floor, you are told to wash your hands but no body makes sure you do, the flor is always dirty and weth, the trash can is like 5 feet away from the cooks area, at this time the dish and pot room were working but a year after the dish room stoped working and dishes were whashed two feet away from the oven and tiltskilet and then I got my first burn, because is 3 people doing dishes and 3 cook all together

[Page 6] in and area at like 2 feel l long and twoo feet wide, about two months late the potroom broked too so, pots, pans, and dishes were wash at the cooks flor (they still do it that way after 4 years, the restroom drain is constantly mess up ando so is the maind drain wich mean, the water comes back-up and there is days where you we cooked ond dirty standin water and we have to keep on cooking like that, with the bad smel and the dirty water getting in our shoes, mantainess takes ther sweet time to come to fix things at this time at Valley Unit dishroom, potroom are out of service, 2 out of 3 steamkettles are out of service, the stack and rotating oven half work and, water comes back if you use the potroom, the is always standin water in the dishroom, dishes are some time washe inside

[Page 7] barrells. Peces of cilling are falling of costantly, the back dock dont work, we dont get enoug slope barrell and there is only 2 mops to use for cooks floor, general use and floor, the restroom has its own mop though. because there is not hot water at the sink on cooks floor we boiled water in one of the steamed ketles, you have at least 3 cases of acxidents with hot water, for last year ACA checkup TDC spend bunch of money on paint, yup paint if you vicit TDCJ (Crain) you’ll see all over the place Prea and A.C.A. signs. We repaint the walls and sume of the bunks, but issues like drains and non working equipment are still a problem and this is just half of the things that happened in this kitchens I will write more if people shows interest and if they don Im still going to try to put the true colos of TDCJ out for

To whom this may concern
On May 1 2020 I tested positive for Covid 19. I was placed in a quarantined area from May 1 through May 15. Heres the problem with this situation. I have been on B-Line Administrative Segregation since February 29, 2020. I only leave my cell for medical appointments. I get no outside recreation. I do have a cellmate. We have little to no contact with other inmates except TDCJ Institutional Division Correctional Officers here at the Eastham Unit. The only way I could have been infected with the corona virus was by or through contact with staff. O.K. You might be thinking well what about your cellmate? Did he have it? My cellmate was never tested that day and was left in the cell while I went into quarantine. Heres the ticker. I told the nurse in front of a Leutinent that I had a cellmate. Answer. She said dont tell anyone. The nurse for UTMB was Ms. Tay and the Lt. was Thorp. So if I was infected how come he wasn’t? Oh thats right. He did not get tested that day also. Shame on you, so to speak. Not only was I infected with a virus thats killing people left and right I have hepatitis C and Stage 2 kidney disease. I have been trying to get treatment for both of these. UTMB keeps saying Im fine. I have lots of documentation to prove facts. Try me! So they say my lab test results show Im o.k. I dont feel o.k. Sometimes my sides hurt and my legs feel like theres excess fluid I cant seem to get rid of. Sometimes they feel swollen or bloated. So I have chronic diseases. Youd think I could get treatment. I asked for Milk Thistle, supplements. UTMB Ms. Takusi said buy it on
Page 2
Commissary. Wait. I didn’t know I had to buy my own medication for a chronic disease. Then I asked for something the help my kidneys. Im told I have to get worse before I can get help for my kidney disease. Guess what. I didnt have kidney disease when I got incarcerated. Dont you think the hep C is causing other organ failures? Now that I was also a covid 19 survivor that the corona virus also is known to cause other organ damage, dont you think this has maybe made my liver and kidneys worse? I asked for an MRI on June 26 2020 during a medical appointment with Takusi. Oh Id have to be in serious condition to be approved for that. What the hell? So let me get this right. I have a poor immune system due to my hep C and kidney disease. I just got over Covid 19 infection. And I still cant get any treatment for my diseases that are chronic. No wonder people die in TDCJ due to medical problems. Get this. I even tried aking a Doctor Hasan for help. A damn Doctor for christs sake. Nothing. Did you know Kidney disease is progressive and incurable? Why would any medical personel allow someone with such a disease to get worse before helping? I also want to know how my lab tests are being analysed. How do they know I dont have Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis or something else that goes wrong with the kidneys? While Im looking at my Lab results I see this word or should I say abbreviation EGFR.
Page 3
Next to it are both Non-African American and African American. Well which one is gonna give me the best result because Im half Black and White. I’m biracial. I sure cant get anyone to explain what all the names of the results mean. So I had new lab tests done in May or early June. Cant remember. Im waiting for a copy of those results. But hey what do I know. They say Im ok. My sides still hurt. That fluid in my legs. Thats not suppose to be there. Its too much I know that much. And I dont believe any of the medical staff here actually got any degree or certificate from a real college campus where you actually learn something hands on. These people I swear took nothing but online courses and pulled their degrees and certificates out of cracker jack boxes. Maybe when I die and the do an autopsy will they realize hey he was actuAlly sick and needed treatment. Get this. Another one of their famous quotes is “Do You Know How Many People Have Kidney Disease and they don’t get help?”) “Lots of people and they are in the Free World.” What they hell is that suppose to mean? Anyway I thought that under the Eighth Amendment that I was entitled to medical care for serious medical Needs? Aren’t chronic conditions like diabetes, HIV, AIDS, hepatitis, epilepsy and hypertensen serious medical needs, for which I deserve medical attention and Care! Estelle v. Gamble, 429 U.S. 97 (1976). Listen to this. I have chronic back pain too. Something wrong with the L5-S1. I was prescribed Effexor for this. Is this right?

Lets get back to Covid 19. These people here are not very smart. Before I can leave my cell I must be handcuffed. Guess what! Those same handcuffs are being used on all the other inmates. You know the machine they use to check my temperature and pulse? Its being used with all the inmates. Guess where they put me after I was released from quarantine? The same cell with my cellmate on D-Line. Horaay. Do you think the cell was sanitized? Hell no. Remember. My poor cellmate never left the cell. Would it be wrong if I said Im surrounded by real genusis? Geese fore-give me if I cant spell correctly. At least thank god I have a lot more common sense. When the TDCJ employees go home whos to say they dont come back infected showing no symptoms. Early this morning they pepper sprayed someone on one row. Guess what? All the fans are on. We all got gased. Would it have hurt to turn the damn fans off first? Well I think I wrote enough. Its not all, believe me, but enough for now. I just need to get some treatment for my hep C and kidney disease. By the way, When Takusi said on 4-23-20 that I can purchase milk Thistle from commissary she should have looked on my trust fund account to see if I have money and checked to see if Im on commissary restriction. I cant buy Milk Thistle you dummy! Im on commissary restriction. Yours Truly, Jason Wayne McBride
P.S. I will give consent to whoever wants to see my medical records or obtain copies. You can see all my request for medical assistance, etc.

“Hell Bound”

Covid 19, get out of this place
Pack up your bags and get out of my face
Leave here quickly, as fast as you came
Because of you, lives will never be the same
You have no feelings, for death is your goal
Your path of destruction, it really shows
People are scared of your cowardly attacks
The lives you took, we can never get back
Whether man, lady, girl, or little boy
The evil you bring, you seem to enjoy
But listen to me, and listen very well
I know you’re straight from the pits of hell
So pack up your bags and get ready to leave
Because your days are numbered, I do believe
For evil you are and evil you will return
Back to the pits of hell, where you will burn!

              <text>6-30-2020
Dear Sheltering Justice,
Hello my name is William Rex Beckam but everyone calls me Skittles. I’m an inmate on the price Daniel unit in the Texas Prison system. Today Warden number 02 and captain Hoover came in J1-building, C-wing and racked everyone up in there cells. When I asked why? Warden 02 said it’s A Precautionary lockdown until they get A inmates covid-19 test results back. When they racked everyone up 2 other inmates came forward saying that they were also sick. When they went to medial there tempatures were taken and both inmates had a fever. So medical sat them A room that was A/C until there tempature went down, then re-took there tempatures said they were fine and sent them right back to the wing. They didn’t do no Covid-19 testing and medical hasn’t been coming in here at all or taking anyone’s tempatures yet there are many people sick. Price Daniel unit is trying to sweep the sickness under the rug, All so they can look good and save money on testing. I don’t know if they even have the tests to do it or maybe their hands tied by those above them, I don’t know. I do know that it makes for A very unhealthy situation for all those here at this unit. Talk about one of the most uncaring acts I’ve seen in my 5 1/2 years of being incarcerated. I made parole on April 2nd and have been in changes 3 class since April 13th, which has to be finished before I can leave says my FI3R. Yet we have been getting packets in order to do so, well my teacher Ms. Greene has already messed up on my packets and now in order to fix it I was giving two Module 7 packets on 6-22-2020 which I finished. But when I went to school on 6-29-2020 Ms. Greene was suppost to take packet module 7 then take me to do my Resume for the module. But because she didn’t feel like it and plainly dont care she gave em back module 7 plus my two last packets of module 1 and said next week bring it back and ms. Campbell will help you do your Resume and collect your finished work. So because Ms. Greene put her job off

[page 2]

Ms. Campbell and I didn’t get to do my Resume and now we are on A precautionary lockdown I wont be able to leave my cell to do my Resume which should have been done already. I might not get to finish my changes 3 class for parole for who knows how long. Then with the prison not doing tests or tempature checks and by sending inmates back to there cells and trying not to act as if there not sick it could spread. The inmates who went to medical that are sick live in cells 212 and 213 and I’m next door in cell 214. I say that to let you know we share vents and breath the same air. Everything could lead upto me catching Covid-19 because of the very careless actions of those in charge. And because I can’t finish my class so I can get out and because medical and staff arent doing there jobs right. Its only going to get worse. How uncaring to me and my family on the outside, and to all the other inmates here on the price Daniel unit. This is what we are experiencing inside these walls while being incarcerated during the covid-19 pandemic. Uncaring people inside.
Much love & respect always
Skittles
